Mooney left during the third quarter of Chicago’s 31-10 loss to the New York Jets.
NFL Network colleague Tom Pelissero said Mooney will get more tests performed Monday according to a source.
The 25-year-old Mooney has 40 catches for 493 yards and two touchdowns in his third season with the Bears after being drafted in the fifth round, 173rd overall, out of Tulane in 2020.
The Bears, who are last in the NFC North Division, dropped to a 3-9 record with their fourth consecutive loss and play host to the Green Bay Packers next Sunday.
