The Buffalo Bills will not have an important piece of their defence for the final stretch of games after placing linebacker Von Miller on injured reserve.
The move will keep Miller — who is battling a knee injury — out of the lineup until at least Week 17 against the Bengals.

Miller was forced out of last week’s Thanksgiving win over the Lions with the injury, which required him to leave on a cart. However, MRI’s showed he had avoided more serious damage and the Bills expect Miller will be available for the playoffs.
Initially, Miller had said he planned to be back in Week 14 against the Jets, but this move changes that plan.
“Just going to wait a little bit, let the swelling go down for about seven to 10 days. And hopefully, right before the Jets game, I will be back,” Miller said Tuesday before being placed on IR.
