For the final match of its 2022 World Cup, the Canadian men’s national team is making a couple changes to its starting XI Thursday against Morocco.
Left back Sam Adekugbe, midfielders Marc-Anthony Kaye and Jonathan Osorio, and forward Junior Hoilett will all start after beginning Canada’s game against Croatia on the bench.
Captain Atiba Hutchinson, winger Richie Laryea and striker Jonathan David will come out of the starting lineup, as will key midfielder Stephen Eustaquio, who’s been nursing a hamstring injury.
In place of Hutchinson, goalkeeper Milan Borjan will wear the captain’s armband. Borjan, Alistair Johnston, Kamal Miller, Steven Vitoria, Tajon Buchanan and Alphonso Davies will all start for the third time this tournament.

Canada can no longer advance to the knockout stage after losing its first two group-stage matches against Belgium and Croatia. The Canadian men’s team can still make history by recording its first win at a World Cup, however.
