The Florida Panthers have placed forward Eric Staal on injured reserve and announced that goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky won’t dress for Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Wild.

Both Staal (upper-body) and Bobrovsky (lower-body) exited Thursday’s win over the Montreal Canadiens.
Alex Lyon will start in net against the Wild. The 30-year-old took home the win Thursday after replacing Bobrovsky just two minutes into the game.
Lyon spent parts of five NHL seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers and Carolina Hurricanes before joining Florida this year.
The team made a pair of goaltending moves on Friday, loaning Spencer Knight to the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL and recalling Mack Guzda.
Staal, 38, has 14 points in 40 games this season — his 18th in the NHL.
The Panthers enter Saturday with a 22-20-5 record, holding the fourth spot in the Atlantic Division and sitting just four points out of the playoff picture.
