Morrisey’s record-breaking goal came on a Jets’ power play when his blast from the point found its way past Igor Shesterkin, his 12th tally of the year.
The 27-year-old picked up his 57th point in his 57th game of the season. Morrisey has absolutely smashed his previous career-high of 37 points in 2021-22.
His stellar play had helped the Jets to a 34-21-1 record as they continue to battle with the Dallas Stars for the Central Division title.
Note: This record is a combination of the Atlanta Thrashers franchise and the current version of the Jets, and not the previous Jets’ records which are currently held by the Arizona Coyotes.
