Aaron Rodgers appears to be inching closer to a decision on where his future may lie.

The future Hall of Fame quarterback shared via the I Am Athlete podcast that things are progressing in the right direction, though he refused to divulge any specifics.

Rodgers took part in a Charity Football Event on Saturday, where former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who now hosts I Am Athlete,  joked with Rodgers on where his plans for the future lay. The 39-year-old was as cryptic as ever, however, providing little information save for one very interesting nugget.

“Stay tuned,” Rodgers told Marshall. “It won’t be long.”

It isn’t immediately clear if Rodgers is referencing the rumoured deal between the Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets, a potential decision on retirement, or anything else for that matter.

The four-time MVP has maintained a level of excellence late into his career, and would immediately reshape the Jets if he chose to head to New York.

Last year, Rodgers completed 64.6 per cent of his passes, accumulating 3,695 yards and 26 touchdowns, though the Packers missed the playoffs with an 8-9 record, just the fourth time Rodgers has missed the postseason as a starter.
