During a timeout huddle, Gobert and Anderson appeared to exchange choice words with each other.
After a few moments, Gobert walked into the middle of the huddle and threw a jab at Anderson. Both players were restrained by members of their own team
In a separate punching-related incident, the Wolves announced that Jaden McDaniels won’t return to the game with a right hand injury.
The forward punched a wall in the locker room tunnel and injured his hand. He was ruled out shortly after.

The Wolves sit ninth in the Western Conference and are set for the play-in tournament in order to qualify for the NBA playoffs.
The game against the Pelicans is a battle to determine which team will finish in eighth and ninth in the West, with New Orleans currently holding the higher seed but only by a single game.
