Home-ice advantage seems to be virtually non-existent this year in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The road team won an NHL record 10th game in a row on Monday when the Toronto Maple Leafs rallied from a three-goal deficit to beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-4 in overtime.

Later on, the visiting Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 in Game 4 of their best-of-seven series as the streak reached 11 games.

The visiting team was 4-0 on each of Saturday and Sunday before winning the first three games on Monday.

It’s been quite a start to the playoffs for road teams.

Home teams went 2-6 to open the playoffs, the worst start in 20 years.

In 2003, home teams lost seven of eight series openers.

The only home team to win its opener that year was the New Jersey Devils, who went on to capture the Stanley Cup in Game 7 over a heavy underdog — the Western Conference’s seventh-seeded Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.
