The Minnesota Twins announced Thursday that they optioned Canadian infielder Edouard Julien to triple-A St. Paul to make room for Jorge Polanco, who was reinstated from the 10-day injured list.

Julien, a native of Longueuil, Que., was in his second stint with the Twins this season, playing in 19 total games with a .210/.296/.435 slashline and four home runs.
The 24-year-old played in 11 games on this recent trip to the majors, hitting .200, including a 3-for-5 game with two doubles and a home run against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Julien starred for Team Canada at the World Baseball Classic in February, leading the tournament in OPS.
Polanco suffered a strained left hamstring on May 20 and has played in 23 games with Minnesota this season, hitting .284 with four home runs.
