As part of the deal, the Clippers would send Marcus Morris and draft picks to Washington while Malcolm Brogdon would go to Los Angeles.
All three teams are still sorting through details including a $36-million player option Porzingis has for the 2023-24 season that needs to be exercised ahead of free agency.
Porzingis averaged 23.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.5 blocks in 65 games last season in Washington.
This would be the second significant deal involving the Wizards this off-season after the team traded Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday for a package including Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, second-round picks, and pick swaps.
