A video of an altercation between a couple and a woman in a lift in a Noida society over a pet dog has been going viral since Friday.
The couple is seen requesting the woman to put a muzzle on her pet dog. The woman and her dog are already inside the lift and she refuses to put the muzzle on her dog even though it is hanging in front of it. The husband requests that his wife is pregnant and asks who would be responsible if the dog bites her.
However, the woman seems miffed by the couple’s act of recording the video. In the argument that ensues, the woman is heard saying, “Aap jaise logon ko hi kutte kaatte hai (Dogs bite people like you only).” She refuses to relent from her stance of making the dog wear a muzzle. When the man is heard saying, “Yeh kis tarah ki lady hai? (What kind of a woman is this?)”, she retorts, “Tumhari biwi se toh behtar hi hoon main (I am better than your wife)”.

Netizens had a mixed reaction to the video with some supporting the woman and others siding with the couple.
Meanwhile, as the matter escalated, there were some new developments. The woman in the video issued a clarification on Twitter.
Taking to her Twitter handle, she posted a video and said that she was following the rules related to dogs that were set by society. The woman named Richa Srinet said that she was in the lift before the couple and as per the society rules, the person who has a dog in the lift has the right to go alone. She claimed she was abused by the couple which was not in the video.

A video recording of the security guard explaining the whole situation along with CCTV footage before the altercation inside the lift was also posted on Twitter.

The guard says in the video that other people in the society have also complained about being bitten by the said woman’s dogs. He says he knows three people who have been bitten.
