Last but not least, the final Naylor brother’s story towards the MLB has begun. Selected 39th overall in the competitive balance round A by the Oakland Athletics, the brother of Josh and Bo Naylor is set to follow in their footsteps, hopefully carving out a path towards the big leagues.

He was drafted as a prep prospect from St. Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School in Mississauga, Ont., the same high school his brothers attended. All three brothers also played for the Ontario Blue Jays, a baseball prep program based in Mississauga.
The 18-year-old can play second base, third base or shortstop and stands at six-foot-two, 195 pounds. He’s likely to slot in primarily on third base as he develops his game.
Naylor is the first Canadian to be taken in the 2023 MLB Draft.

He’s currently committed to play college baseball for the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
He joins fellow Canadian prospect Denzel Clarke on the Athletics, who was selected in the fourth round of the 2021 Draft.
