The Nashville Predators are fighting for a playoff spot and fighting a significant injury bug, with Matt Duchene the latest to be forced to miss time.
Duchene was struck in the hand by a shot from teammate Dante Fabbro in the second period and was unable to return to Sunday’s 4-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. After the game, head coach John Hynes said the star centre is considered week-to-week with the injury.

Duchene joins Roman Josi (upper-body), Filip Forsberg (upper-body), Ryan Johansen (leg surgery), Alex Carrier (upper-body), Juuso Parssinen (upper-body) and Mark Borowiecki (upper-body) on the injured reserve.
The Predators are currently 36-28-8 and remain five points behind the Flames for the final wild-card spot in the West with 10 games to go. Duchene leads the Predators with 22 goals this season and is second to Josi with 56 points.
